Crew change is when memory dies
The last chief left. You get a folder, a shrug, and a WhatsApp scroll nobody trusts.
That is how most boats hand over. Days of talking. Still missing the defect that only lived in one person's head. The next watch starts from zero.
The job
Keep what happened on the vessel so the next captain or chief is not reconstructing history from chat.
Ship's Log is vessel memory. Crew talk, photo, or type what happened. Ship's Log drafts a structured record. A human approves. Nothing is history until someone says so.
How it works
- Capture — talk, snap a photo, or type the job.
- Approve — check the draft. Fix it. Confirm. AI proposes. You approve.
- Logs / Due / Ask Your Vessel — find it later as a dated entry, with the original attached when it exists.
- Handover — the next watch reads the boat's book, not a dead thread.
Demo screens on the site use fictional crew. They show the product UI. They are not customer proof.
What stays when people leave
Memory stays with the vessel. Not with whichever captain is signed on.
Crew change is when memory usually dies. Unless the vessel kept the book.
Price
About $250/mo. One vessel, one memory, one price. No per-user tax that punishes putting the whole crew in the book.
Live surfaces today: Capture, Logs, Due, Ask Your Vessel, Handover.
